Barbara J. Stickel Central Georgia Health System Presidential Scholarship in Nursing

This award is made annually to a high-achieving incoming freshman pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Middle Georgia State University, and who is notable for: Exemplifying academic excellence on national achievement exams; graduating with a minimum 3.5 high school GPA; and, preferably, demonstrating service to others. The scholarship is renewable for a maximum of three consecutive years, provided the recipient maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA and is making satisfactory progress toward graduation. Established by Central Georgia Health System, this award honors Barbara J. Stickel, retired nursing officer, and her distinguished 40-year career of recognized leadership in the field of nursing.
